Just sitting outside tonight (it's the only time you can stand to be outside in the freaking desert!) and watching the love of my life blowing bubbles with our boobear!   There is nothing better in life!

Good day.  Watched the Buckeyes win in ot.   Watched UofA win.  Watched Louisville win.  Penn State beat Wisconsin!!   L is having a childhood flashback Land Before Time movie marathon.  M made pasta for dinner.  I made lemon drop martini's (Yum).    M made brownies.  I spent two hours going through my Twitter list of who I am following and looked at their list of who they were following to see if there was anyone I wanted to follow..............I did get some good things to follow.  WGAL tv8 from Lebanon/Lancaster and Kitchen Kettle.   I need more four berry jam from them.  Happy Friday!!!

The M Team

So, it's another day.    Everything going well until the mortgage guy called.    Debt to income ratio just went over the limit.   I freaked.   M was like WTF.     After talking me down and finding the error in the bank's numbers,  She gave me "the talk".     This is a team effort.  M and me.   We made and continue to make our decisions together.  Whatever comes along we handle together.  We always have.  I guess that's why we've been together 30+ years.   It's all good, even when it isn't, because it's what we both decided.   I think I'll stick with team M!   Love you sweety!

Couldn't put up "beadboard wallpaper" in bedroom because of the textured walls.
ITunes library on M's computer isn't hers.    Have to check old computers.

Yahoo mail was hacked again by spammers.   Fortunately I only had two contacts in my list anymore since I deleted them last time I was hacked.    The really stupid thing is that I might not even know they hack into it if they wouldn't send spam to me too!!!!!    I get a spam email from myself!!   dumb asses!   Anyway,  Yahoo is dead to me.    RIP Yahoo!

the intelligent man

I just read an interesting tidbit in Esquire magazine.   It was a little sidebar type thing from a man who said his crush on Megan Fox is over.   The reason:  she said in an interview that her farts smell like chinese food after she eats chinese.    Smart man.   Here's the thing.    When men see a beautiful woman they start making thing up in their heads about what this woman is like and that she would be sooo perfect for them.    But the bottom line is they think she's hot and they want to do her.    The thought process  moves from the head on their shoulders to the head in their pants.     All men have done this.   Stupid men.

An intelligent man can look at a beautiful woman simply for the beauty.   But at that point let it drop.     An intelligent man finds a beautiful woman and learns to love her laugh, the way she likes to have picnics in the park every time it's forecast to rain.   An intelligent man knows about this woman, not just making things up in his mind about her.    An intelligent man knows that her beauty is not superficial, but is part of her being.  She is smart, caring, loving and giving.   An intelligent man loves everything about her.   An intelligent man marries her.

WTF?

15 degrees..........in Tucson?????    in the middle of the freakin desert??????     WTF?

today

So, this hasn't turned out to be a daily thing like I thought it would.....but, that's ok.   I still post when I feel like it.    Garlic shrimp and rice and lots of veggies for dinner tonight.   M & L are doing really well with the diet thing and eating right hasn't been bad for me either.   Spent time the last few days cleaning up the spare (S old bedroom) room.  Soon all our junk will be in the garage and then we just have to get that cleaned up.   The rest of the house is good then.
Got the grocery shopping done today.   Only 4 things on my list were not on sale.  Trying to get used to not buying everything in sight and getting closer to following a budget.   It'll come.

Normally we whine and think bad thoughts the moment police are mentioned.    But, I picked up boo yesterday.   On the way home I saw the sun was in his face.   So, I pulled off the interstate at some obscure exit in the middle of the desert.   As I'm putting my jacket over the window to shade boo's face I hear a loudspeaker say "excuse me"!!!!!     The AZ Highway patrolman had pulled up along side of me.   He saw me sitting at the end of the offramp and just wanted to check and be sure there wasn't a problem.     Blessings to our hard working police forces!!!!

boo bear

wow, the last week has been busy.   not like anyone is reading this anyway.   But, picked up boo yesterday. We walked to the grocery store today and built a fort on the couch.   Love my boo!

well, no chicken picatta tonight.  M got home and decided it was little Caesar's nite.  Good thing I hadn't started cooking yet.    So, have you seen hot in cleveland?   Funniest thing ever!!!!!!!!  we watched the whole first season tonight!

Made Chinese for dinner tonight.   Wasn't bad - veggie stir fry, sweet and sour pork and lo mein. 
Tomorrow,  have to do the laundry and then Chicken Piccata for dinner.    That's right.  I am the perfect Wife!!

Car Titles

So, I went to the DMV yesterday (see prior post, spent a whole day and didn't have the right paper) With my priority return form from last week.   Well, Tuesday must be the day to be at the DMV.  No one was there.  With my priority number, they called me in like 30 seconds.   OK, so I get to the window and tell the girl I need a copy of my car title.  M had said to me that she never heard of us having to get the title to trade it in, that the dealer takes care of it.  But, they told us we needed to so  here I am.  The girl says,"are you trading this in?"  I said yes but that I needed to get the title and give it to the dealer.  She says, "is it Dobbs Honda?"  I say yes and she says that apparently they could get it faster than I could because she is showing that they had it retitled and it was all done today.   Well great, saved me some $$ on having to get it myself but WTF?    Did they just not want to get it?  They were a great dealership to work with but what's up with this?   So, one more thing off my to do list!

multitasking

We do it every day, all the time.  there is always something else going on that divides our attention no matter how small.   The tv on in the backround,  Trying to perform some task while listening to someone. It has been the buzz word for business for quite some time.   I used to tell my employees one of my favorite sayings (much to the chagrin of my bosses)  "He who multitasks does neither job well".   I do neither job well, I have never been good at multitasking.   There are two things you should NEVER try to multitask while doing.   They both require your full attention.  Both can have deadly consequences. Operating a circular saw and listening when your wife is talking.  I have never multitasked while doing the first one.  I have while doing the second.    I'm sorry M.

Monday

Missed writing for a few days.   Last week went well.  It was the first week of "normal" life.  Some things went ok, others not so ok.   Nothing really went wrong, just trying to get used to the new lifestyle and get comfortable with it.1
Cooked and cleaned today.  Had to get things back in order after having M & L home all weekend!  Back to the DMV tomorrow.  Hopefully it won't be as long as last week.  they gave me a "priority return" paper.   Can't wait to see how that works out!

Day 4

Not a bad day.  filled out some student loan papers, re-arranged the bedroom since M couldn't sleep the last few nights, and some general cleaning.   Went out tonight to Red Lobster using a $4 off coupon and a gift card.  I am the hunter!   then went to the mall to pick up M & L's new glasses.   They both look lovely!  I ordered a new pair also.  Then to best buy for Wii Zumba (and Wii resort for me) and home again.   L made a special request for barbecue sandwiches like in Reading at Shell's.  so that is my task for tomorrow. Very good day.

Day 3

So, just another day.  Cleaning, cooking, etc.   Made chili but it didn't come out right.  M thought it made a wonderful topping for nachos so it wasn't a total loss.   Got the kitchen cleaned. Still amazed that we were able to keep any level of cleanliness and organization when we both worked.  This is a bit tiring keeping house, cooking and taking care of M & L.   But I wouldn't trade it for anything right now!  Thank you M or making it possible!  I love you!   Now making veggie noodle soup for L for lunch.  Good day!

Day 2

Maybe I'll stop counting the days sometime soon.  It's all still new and feels funny just taking care of the family.   It was another good day.  Stayed home and cleaned, finished the laundry, and baked a batch of chocolate chip cookies.  If you need the recipe let me know and I'll post it.  Barbecue pork chops and baked potatoes for dinner.  Now watching Ohio State beat up on Arkansas.  Go Buckeyes!!!!

Day 1

Well it was a good day.  Not everything went as planned, but I seriously do not know how it all got done when I was working.   (It didn't)   Took M & L to work and stopped at the grocery store on the way home.  M needed lunch and gave me very specific details as to what I was supposed to bring her 3 hours from now.   I got home and did 3 loads of laundry.  Then called the student loan people. (i know, we went to school late in life and still have loans at age 3).  Made M her lunch and took it to her.  Then.......THE DMV.     Spent three hours there only for them to tell me that they can't accept the fax I have and it has to be an original document.   So back home to call the car loan people to mail me the original.   Then two more loads of laundry and started dinner.    Picked up the girls at 4, had dinner, and then made chicken tenders for L for lunch tomorrow.  Sat down around 8 and rubbed M's feet.   With all that, it was still one of the better days I have had in quite some time.    Now off to snuggle with M.

Life Changes

So, another 3 years since I posted........Well, life changes. The biggest change is the new "experiment" lets call it, I am staying home and taking care of my sweet wife. Tomorrow is the first official day for this since she is back to work. I have several tasks to complete and will try to get this show going on the right foot. I'm pretty confident this is going to work, it's just interesting, new, and I'm sure not everyone's cup of tea but again, as my profile says, if you don't like it, you don't have to read about it. Anyway, we'll see how it goes.
